Dancing Among the Stars by whitneyw Dancing Among the Stars by whitneyw
Acrylics on Art Board

(This is what I wrote about it a few years ago when I did it. It's still my favorite painting I've ever done.)
This is my favorite among all my other art. It has a story to go with it, and is very
personal, a quality I admire far beyond many other things in the art field. This man
named Peter once had a dream for himself and me: to dance among the stars.
And although I knew this was impossible, it was my favorite thing to think of when
I couldn't hear his voice. I made this painting for him for Christmas, right before he
broke up with me. I didn't send it...for I knew it would mean more to me then it
ever would to him.

When it's all over and the last tear's been shed, maybe we'll be Dancing Among the Stars; acrylics on board from *whitneyw. ( Suggested by SaloGuardione and Featured by SRaffa )

(In advance, sorry everyone for the mistakes in English grammar) ...

Well, I think as I who suggested this piece for DD, I would touch my make the first critique, but more than a critique, would rather have the factors that led me to suggest this particular piece.

First: The story that accompanies the piece is ... incredible and so emotive. I thought that if I wrote something to suggest it to ^SamuelRaffa , could ruin the essence of what I wanted to convey as such, so really I did not dare to say anything and let him just discovered. ;) What is expressed is very clear, at least to me. We do not need many words to understand. Of course, when we add the description, as a woman I can really feel those emotions plasmaste in my skin.

Second: I can somehow feel your story to see the piece and that is what makes it so special, that's why all these people today it was so moved for this. Indeed this work touches people's hearts even though perhaps in technical and aesthetic terms is a very simple piece, but even so it is still valuable.

Third: To me personally I liked the color scheme that was used for painting, acrylics are no simple thing. But mostly I hit a lot of lighting and the glowing, everything is in perfect balance, nothing is superfluous and nothing lacking. Nothing else in the paint. Usually falls in that an artist paints and makes the viewer's attention is focused on a single point but in this particular painting is VERY DIFFICULT to do that and make a delicate contrast level, I really must congratulate you on it. I can't stop to see it.

Again I have to congratulate you for the DD obtained, and for me it was really a great honor to have been the one who suggested such a wonderful piece. A thousand congratulations again!

soooooo dreamy! this painting is absolutely perfect. it reminds me of  places i long to go in dreamland. this is the kind of painting that someone would serendipitously find and cherish, that would keep winding up with different people who fell in love with it over the generations...that would only increase it's sentimental value and eventually just keep seducing people with it's emotional pull. sorry to get all gooey about your painting, but woa when i look at it- i'm right there with the feeling you had when you painted it.
