I have a love/hate relationship with the dark. I love the energy that flows late in the night for artistic inspiration, but I've always feared the unknown that creeps from the dark shadows around me. I always had a nightlight or a glowing stuffed animal growing up due to my fears. This piece represents what I imagined in the darkness of my childhood bedroom.

I actually kind of like dark places. Feels uncomfortable at first, but once I familiarize myself with what little I could see in the dark then I feel alright. Kinda like I feel safe since no one can catch me in the dark, or a bit exciting when exploring dark places.

Anyways that's a fine piece up there. great stuff!^^^

The darkness has a unique energy to it, I will agree to that! But if I am alone, or with people I am not comfortable with, the dark makes the unknown that much more menacing. Spiders live in the dark...
